Find a Place to Breathe
Relax and enjoy the natural sounds of Northumberland
Find a Place to Breathe is a CD designed to help you relax by playing you the natural sounds of Northumberland.
The CD was designed to last for 40 minutes, which is long enough for most people to feel that they have had some rest during the day. Each of the four landscape sounds was designed to last for about 10 minutes because it may be the length of time that keen walkers would allow themselves to have a sit down and enjoy the view. A short break can often be as valuable as a longer rest to allow refreshment for mind and body.
Keith Hartnell, of Castlecross Productions Ltd, made the recordings during the summer and autumn of 2006. He managed to find areas away from traffic in:
- The Upper Coquet Valley (Track 1)
- Paxton Dene, near the village of Longhorsley (Track 2)
- Wallington, in the West Woods (Track 3)
- Druridge Bay, in the dunes towards Low Hauxley (Track 4)
